Kellie Martin is an American TV, film and stage performer. Her most well-known roles include Christy Huddleston (Christy) as part of the period show Christy'; Rebecca Thatcher (Life Goes On); and Lucy Knight ("ER") in the medical drama ER". She is also well-known as the lead in the Hailey Dean Mystery television series. Martin started her acting career at the age of was seven years old. The aunt of her mother, who served as the nanny of actor Michael Landon's children, assisted her in landing a small role on the 1982 TV series Father Murphy. Following her Yale University graduation, she began to concentrate on acting, and managed to secure significant roles on the film and television industries. Martin is a professional actor and a skilled photographer and dancer has been in the business for more than twenty years. She is a mom of two, and also the spokesperson of Lupus. Since her 19 year old sister's passing Martin has been working to raise awareness about the condition.
